Honor is reportedly working on the Honor 400 series of smartphones for the Chinese market. Like the Honor 300 series, the 400 lineup may include three models: the Honor 400, 400 Pro, and 400 Ultra. Today, well-known tipster Digital Chat Station shared key details about the chipset that will reportedly power the Honor 400 series.
Honor 400 series, GT Pro chipsets (rumored)
According to the tipster, the prototypes of the Honor 400 series will be powered by the SM7750 and SM8650 chipsets. Probably, the Honor 400 will have the SM7750, which appears to be the upcoming Snapdragon 7 Gen 4 chip, whereas the Pro model could be equipped with the Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 (SM8650) SoC. To recall, the Honor 300 Pro and 300 Ultra also feature the SD8G3 chipset.
He added that the entire lineup will come equipped with large camera sensors, but he did not go into the specs. This is not the first time that the rumor mill has leaked details about the Honor 400 series. A previous leak by another tipster revealed that the Honor 400 series would be equipped with around a 7,000mAh battery.
DCS also shared key details about the Honor GT Pro, which is expected to launch by mid-2025 after the Honor 400 series. This phone is expected to feature the Snapdragon 8 Elite chip along with a flat display and a super-large battery, addressing the shortcomings of the Honor GT. As far as the Honor 400 series’ launch is concerned, it is expected to break cover in the second quarter, probably in May.
To recall, the Honor GT, which went official in December 2024 in China, came equipped with a 6.7-inch AMOLED panel that offers a 1.5K resolution, a Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 chipset, and a 5,300mAh battery with 100W fast charging support. It has a 16-megapixel front camera and a 50-megapixel + 12-megapixel dual-camera setup on the back. The phone ships with up to 16 GB of RAM and up to 1 TB of storage.
