Honor 50 Series: More than 125K units sold within a minute

The Honor 50 and Honor 50 Pro smartphones finally went on their debut sale in the Chinese market following their official launch during the middle of the month.

Unsurprisingly, both models were selling like hot cakes the moment the sale kicked off, with Honor clocking 500 million Yuan in revenue (around US$77.4 million) within a minute. If you do the math, this actually equates to between 125,000 to 185,000 units sold in a minute.

Honor 50 Series Sale Record

This doesn’t came much as a surprise given the brand’s popularity in it’s home market, but is nonetheless a notable achievement since the Honor 50 and Honor 50 Pro are the first batch of numerical series smartphones launched by Honor since their separation from Huawei.

Although the duo are currently available in the Chinese market, but Honor had previously confirmed that the Honor 50 smartphone will be heading to at least 40 countries outside of China. The actual availability in the global market however, has yet to be announced by the company.
