Honor has just launched the Magic 8 and Magic 8 Pro flagship phones featuring the Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5 chip in China. Speculations are rife that the brand has two more series, namely the Honor 500 and Honor GT 2, lined up for the home market this year. A new Weibo post by tipster Digital Chat Station seemingly reveals the camera specs of the Honor 500 Pro.

Recent reports have revealed that the Honor 500 series will include two models, namely the Honor 500 and Honor 500 Pro. While the chipset of the base model is not known yet, the Pro version is said to be equipped with the Snapdragon 8 Elite.
In the above leak, DCS is talking about an upcoming Honor phone equipped with the Snapdragon 8 Elite. Therefore, it can be said that he could be referring to the Honor 500 Pro.
The new leak reveals that the Honor 500 Pro will feature a 200-megapixel main camera backed by a 1/1.4-inch sensor. While he did not share details about its ultra-wide camera, he revealed that it is equipped with an OmniVision OV64B periscope telephoto camera with 3x optical zoom.
To recall, the Honor 400 Pro came with a massive 7,200mAh battery. DCS’ leak suggests that the Honor 500 Pro will have the largest battery capacity in its class, indicating that it may either retain the 400 Pro’s battery or feature an even larger one.
Honor is expected to launch the Honor 500 series in the second half of November in China. It is likely to face competition from the Oppo Reno 15 series and Vivo S50 lineup.
