Honor 70 debuts with Snapdragon 778G+, 50MP triple cameras & 66W fast-charging

Besides launching the Honor 70 Pro and Pro+ devices, Honor had also announced new mid-range model known as the Honor 70 in the Chinese market that comes with a similar design as the rest of the Honor 70 series smartphones, but slightly toned-down specs to keep the phone affordable.

The new Honor 70 smartphone opts for a slightly smaller 6.67” OLED display offering a FHD+ screen resolution along with a smooth 120Hz refresh rate. To help with selfies and video calls, the Honor 70 also features a 32 megapixels front-facing camera tucked into a centered hole-punch camera cutout.

On the imaging front, the Honor 70 relies on a triple rear cameras lead by the same 54MP Sony IMX800 main camera as the rest of the Honor 70 series devices. Although their similarities extend to the same 50MP ultra-wide unit, but the Honor 70 swaps the 8MP telescope camera for a 2MP depth sensing unit instead.

Under the hood, the Honor 70 smartphone is powered by an octa-core Snapdragon 778G+ chipset which will be aided by up to 12GB RAM and 512GB built-in storage in the memory department. To keep it’s lights on, the phone is backed by a respectable 4,800mAh battery with 66W fast-charging support.

For those who’re interested, the Honor 70 is priced starting from 2,699 Yuan (US$405) for it’s 8GB+256GB base model and goes up to 3,399 Yuan (US$510) for it’s top-of-the-line model featuring 12GB RAM and 512GB storage.
