Honor 9 Youth Edition that is launching on Dec. 21 will be arriving as lower-end edition of the Honor 9 smartphone that was unveiled in June this year. It has been found listed on the website of China Telecom. The listing of the two variants have revealed their respective pricing.
The above images show that the Honor 9 would be coming in 32 GB and 64 GB storage models. Both variants are featuring 4 GB of RAM. The rumor mill had claimed that the Honor 9 Lite would be also coming in 3 GB RAM options. However, it cannot be found in the listing of the Honor 9 Youth Edition on China Telecom’s site. The 32 GB storage + 4 GB RAM and 64 GB storage + 4 GB RAM models of the phone are respectively priced at 1,999 Yuan (~$302) and 2,399 Yuan (~$363). However, since the standard edition of the Honor 9 is priced at 2,299 Yuan, is likely that the two models may be respectively priced at 1,799 Yuan (~$272) and 2,199 Yuan (~$332).
As far as specs are concerned, the Honor 9 Youth Edition would be featuring a 5.65-inch FHD+ display, Kirin 659 chipset, 13-megapixel + 20-megapixel dual rear and front cameras, Android 8.0 Oreo flavored with EMUI 8.0. Like the Honor 9, the front and back panel of the Honor 9 Youth Edition will be made up of glass. However, instead of metallic frame, it edges is rumored to be made up of plastic. The handset will not be supporting 4G+ and NFC.
