The Huawei Mate 10 Lite had launched with varied names in different countries. For instance, it came to China as Maimang 6, Malaysia received it as Nova 2i and it came as Honor 9i in India. Huawei’s sub-brand Honor seems to be gearing up to launch a smartphone with Honor 9i moniker in China. The evidence of the phone surfaced on Weibo, but it was soon taken down. It appears that it could be yet another notched display design phone from the company.
The above Weibo post that is no longer available for access carries an image which shows the Honor 9i with notched design. It is being speculated that it could be the new Honor LLD-AL20 and LLD-AL30 smartphones that had surfaced on TENAA’s website earlier this month may debut as Honor 9i in China. Their TENAA listing reveals that the handset features 5.84-inch display that supports 2280 x 1080 pixels. This suggests that the LLD-AL20 and LLD-AL30 will feature a notched display like the Honor 10 that houses same resolution and 19:9 aspect ratio supporting screen of 5.84 inches
Since both models are powered by 2.36 GH octa-core processor, these phones may feature Kirin 960 SoC. Both phones have 4 GB of RAM and multiple storage option such as 32 GB, 64 GB and 128 GB. The LLD-AL20 and LLD-AL30 smartphones have 16-megapixel front camera and 13-megapixel + 2-mgeapixel dual rear cameras. It is speculated that the Honor 9i may cost around 1,799 Yuan ($281).
