Yesterday, the highly anticipated Honor 9X and Honor 9X Pro have finally been announced in China.
The Honor 9X will go on its debut sales in the Chinese market on July 30th, while the Honor 9X Pro will go on sale starting August 9th next month. Pre-registrations for the Honor 9X had already been kicked off yesterday and had apparently achieved more than 100,000 pre-registrations on both Vmall and JD.com within half a day.
The Honor 9X is available in three different memory configurations with pricing as follows:
- 4GB RAM + 64GB ROM: 1399 Yuan (US$203)
- 6GB RAM + 64GB ROM: 1599 Yuan (US$232)
- 6GB RAM + 128GB ROM: 1899 Yuan (US$276)
As of now, there is still no news on when the device will be heading out of the Chinese market.
Honor 9X Specifications
The Honor 9X features an 6.59-inch LTPS IPS LCD panel with 1080 x 2340 pixels screen resolution and a 19.5:9 tall aspect ratio which boosts an overall 391 ppi density.
The Honor 9X is driven an octa-core Kirin 810 SoC alongside 4GB/ 6GB/ 8GB RAM and 64GB/ 128GB worth of internal storage space. Moving on to its camera, you can find a dual-camera setup on its rear chassis which consists of a 48 megapixels (f/1.8 aperture) main snapper paired with a 2 megapixels depth sensor. On its front panel, there is a motorize pop-up selfie camera which houses a 16 megapixels (f/2.0 aperture) sensor.
The device runs on Huawei’s EMUI 9.1 based on the Android Pie OS which provides a smooth and enriching user experience with its intuitive interface. Beneath the rear chassis, there is a 4,000mAh non-removable battery capable of fueling hours of continuous usages. In total, there are three color options available to choose from namely Magic Night Black, Charm Sea Blue and Charm Red.
