Honor Magic 6 series sales exceed 660M Yuan in a record time

On Jan. 11, Honor announced the Honor Magic 6 and Magic 6 Pro smartphones in China. As officially stated during the launch, both phones went on sale today at 10 a.m. (local time) in China. Shortly after their release, Honor confirmed the remarkable market reception that both devices garnered.

During its inaugural sales day, the Magic 6 and Magic 6 Pro were released across various e-commerce platforms and swiftly garnered sales revenue of 660 million yuan ($103.94 million USD) in a mere 2 minutes and 35 seconds. This remarkable performance exceeded the entire day’s sales across all channels for the preceding generation.

The Honor Magic 6 variants, such as 12 GB RAM + 256 GB storage, 16 GB RAM + 256 GB storage, and 16 GB RAM + 1 TB storage, are priced at 4,399 Yuan ($617), 4,699 Yuan ($660), and 4,999 Yuan ($702), respectively. On the other hand, the Magic 6 Pro, which also comes in the same options, costs 5,699 Yuan ($800), 6,199 Yuan ($870), and 6,999 Yuan ($983), respectively.

Considering an average price of 5,499 Yuan ($772), it seems that the brand may have sold 120,021 units of the Magic 6 series in its first sale.

The Magic 6 and Magic 6 Pro are the first Honor phones to ship with Magic 8.0-based Android 14. Both devices are equipped with the Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 chipset and a triple camera unit featuring the OVH9000 50-megapixel main camera with OIS support and a Samsung JN1 50-megapixel ultra-wide lens. While the Magic 6 has a 32-megapixel telephoto camera, the Pro variant features a 180-megapixel periscope telephoto camera.
