Honor Magic 8, Magic 8 Pro key specifications tipped ahead of launch

Honor is yet to confirm the Honor Magic 8 series launch date for China. However, rumors suggest that it will be unveiled on Oct. 15. Ahead of launch, reliable tipsters like Bald Panda and Teme have shared the key specifications of the Magic 8 series.

The Magic 8 Pro is said to feature a 6.71-inch micro-quad-curved display with a 1.5K resolution. Powering the device will be a massive 7,200mAh battery, supported by 120W wired charging and 80W wireless charging.

For photography, the Magic 8 Pro’s rear camera setup is expected to include a 50-megapixel, a 50-megapixel ultra-wide, a 200-megapixel periscope telephoto, and a red maple camera sensor. For selfies, it will feature a 50-megapixel front-facing camera.

While the tipster Bald Panda claims that the Magic 8 Pro will weigh 222 grams, the advertised value will be lower. It will be sold in shades like black, white, and blue. It is unclear whether it will also be available in gold.

Honor Magic 8 specifications (rumored)

The standard Honor Magic 8 will differ slightly from its Pro counterpart. It is expected to come with a flat 6.58-inch 1.5K display and a 7,000mAh battery paired with 90W charging. It will lack support for wireless charging.

Like the Pro version, it will reportedly feature a 50-megapixel, a 50-megapixel ultra-wide lens, and 200-megapixel periscope telephoto camera, a red maple camera sensor, and a 50-megapixel selfie camera. The color palette includes black, white, light blue, and gold.

The Honor Magic 8 and Magic 8 Pro will be powered by the Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5 chip. The MagicPad 3 Pro, launching alongside the Magic 8 series will also feature the same chipset.
