Recent reports have claimed that the Honor Magic 8 series of smartphones will include multiple models, including a compact offering. However, a new leak suggests that the alleged Honor Magic 8 Mini may not launch together with the Magic 8 and Magic 8 Pro.
Honor Magic 8 Mini launch could be delayed

According to a fresh leak by well-known tipster Digital Chat Station, the Honor Magic 8 series is currently undergoing testing with three different models in the pipeline. The Magic 8, which is said to feature a 6.58-inch display, is being tested with a periscope telephoto camera and two possible sensor options: the OmniVision OV64B and Sony IMX882. The decision between the two sensors is reportedly still under discussion.
Meanwhile, the Magic 8 Pro, which is likely to feature a 6.7-inch screen, continues to test a large 200-megapixel periscope sensor. As for the compact version, which is expected to feature a 6.3-inch display, details are still being finalised, and it is unlikely that all three models will launch simultaneously.
Speculations are rife that Xiaomi will be the first brand to launch Snapdragon 8 Elite 2-powered phones in September this year in China. Likely, the Xiaomi 16 and 16 Pro may break cover by the end of September. The Honor Magic 8 series is also expected to feature the Snapdragon 8 Elite 2. The Magic 8 lineup may break cover by early October in China.
Meanwhile, Honor is also said to be working on a phone with an 8,200mAh battery, which may debut in July in China. It is unclear whether it will be part of the Honor Power or X70 series.
