There has been some confusion around Honor’s upcoming compact phone. The rumour mill has referred to it by different names, such as the Honor Magic 8 Mini, Magic 8 Slim, and Magic 8 Air. Today, the brand has officially confirmed that the device will be called the Honor Magic 8 Pro Air. While Honor has not revealed anything significant about the phone’s specifications, leaks have already disclosed plenty of details.
Honor Magic 8 Pro Air specifications (rumored)
As seen above, Honor has officially confirmed the Magic 8 Pro Air moniker. Leaks suggest that the phone will feature a 6.3-inch flat OLED display with a 1.5K resolution, although there is no information about the refresh rate.
Under the hood, the device is said to feature the Dimensity 9500 chipset and a 5,500mAh battery with 90W charging support. It appears to lack support for wireless charging. The phone is expected to run MagicOS 10 based on Android 16.
The Magic 8 Pro Air’s camera setup remains under wraps, but it is said to include a telephoto camera. The camera décor design will be similar to the Honor 500 series, meaning it will feature a horizontal layout.
The Magic 8 Pro Air is expected to measure a slim 6.3mm profile and weigh around 158 grams. The thickness and weight may vary slightly depending on the color variant, including black, white, purple, and orange.
Honor is currently silent on the Honor Magic 8 Pro Air’s launch date. However, it is expected to launch alongside the Honor Magic 8 RSR, which is tipped to arrive before the upcoming Chinese New Year on February 17.
