Honor is reportedly testing prototypes of the Honor Magic 9 series, which is expected to debut later this year in China. Like the Magic 8 series, the next-generation lineup may include multiple models. An early leak from reliable tipster Digital Chat Station has revealed what to expect from the display sizes of the Magic 9 series.
Honor Magic 9 series models and display sizes

The leak suggests that the Honor Magic 9 may sport a 6.3-inch display. This is considerably smaller than the Magic 8, which houses a 6.58-inch display. To put this into context, the recently unveiled Magic 8 Pro Air has a 6.3-inch screen.
Moving on to the Honor Magic 9 Pro, it is expected to house a 6.78-inch display. This screen is slightly larger than the 6.71-inch display available on the Magic 8 Pro.
The leak also suggests that the lineup may include a Magic 9 Pro Max model. It remains to be seen whether this will coexist with the Pro variant or replace it.
RSR-branded flagships have traditionally inherited core specifications from the Pro variant. Therefore, the Magic 9 RSR may feature a 6.85-inch display, similar to the Pro version.
Honor Magic 9 series launch timeframe (expected)
The leak does not provide information about the Magic 9 series’ launch timeframe. However, it is likely to debut in October 2026, and the lineup could be early adopters of the Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 6 series chipset.
In related news, Honor is also said to be working on a wide foldable phone with a form factor similar to the rumored Apple iPhone Fold and Samsung Galaxy Wide. This device may replace the Honor Magic Vs series, which has not been updated since 2024. Additionally, the brand may not launch a new flip phone this year.
