Honor has been consistently offering mammoth-sized batteries on its smartphones. A recent report revealed that the upcoming Honor 600 series may pack around a 6,000mAh battery. Now, a new leak, courtesy of tipster Smart Pikachu, suggests that the Magic 9 series may also house bigger batteries than its previous generation.
Honor Magic 9 series battery sizes tipped

Like its predecessors, the Honor Magic 9 series will be photography-focused flagships, but it is also expected to excel in the battery department. The tipster claims that there will be a strong emphasis on maintaining industry-leading battery performance that competitors may struggle to match.
He added that the Honor Magic 9 series could pack 8,000mAh and 9,000mAh batteries. To recall, the Honor Magic 8, which features a 6.58-inch display, has a 7,000mAh battery, whereas the Magic 8 Pro and Magic 8 RSR, with a 6.71-inch display, offer a 7,100mAh battery. These devices are powered by the Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5 chipsets.
Specculations suggest that the Honor Magic 9 series may be among the early adopters of the Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 6 series chip. A recent leak revealed that the Honor Magic 9 could be a compact offering equipped with a smaller 6.3-inch display. On the other hand, the Magic 9 Pro’s display size may grow to 6.85 inches. The Magic 9 RSR may feature the same screen size as the Pro edition.
At present, it is too early to discuss the Magic 9 series in detail, as its launch is still several months away. The brand is currently focused on the upcoming MWC 2026, where it is expected to showcase the Honor Magic V6 foldable phone and the futuristic Robot phone. Following this, the Honor 600 series is expected to hit the Chinese market around mid-2026.
