On Aug. 21, Honor will unveil the Honor Magic V Flip 2 in China. Reports have claimed that the device will dethrone the Xiaomi Mix Flip 2 to offer the largest battery seen on a flip phone. Today, the brand officially confirmed the device’s battery size and charging speeds.

The Honor Magic V Flip 2 houses a massive 5,500mAh battery, which is significantly bigger than the 5,165mAh battery that powers the Mix Flip 2. The Xiaomi flip phone lacks support for wireless charging but comes with 67W wired charging. On the other hand, the Magic V Flip 2 has support for 80W wired charging as well as 50W wireless charging.
The Honor Magic V Flip 2’s other poster, released by the brand today, confirms that its screen is equipped with ultra-durable UTG film. According to the brand, its inclusion ensures that the screen remains as good as new even after 350,000 folds.
Honor Magic V Flip 2 specifications
According to reports, the Magic V Flip 2 has a 6.82-inch foldable OLED LTPO 1.5K 120Hz screen and a 4-inch LTPO OLED 120Hz cover screen. The phone will be powered by the Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 and will be offered in variants, such as 12GB+256GB, 12GB+512GB, and 16GB+1TB.
On the front, the Magic V Flip 2 will feature a 50-megapixel selfie camera. Its rear camera setup will have a 200-megapixel main camera and a 50-megapixel ultra-wide lens. It will be available in shades like blue, black, white, and purple.
