Honor Magic V2 Lite with Snapdragon 8+ Gen 1, Magic V2 Slim in works

Honor is reportedly expanding its foldable phone lineup with multiple new models. The recently launched Honor Magic V2, featuring the Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 chip, is just the beginning. If new reports are to be believed, the brand may announce two new foldable phones before the end of this year.

A Chinese tipster disclosed details about the upcoming Magic V2 Lite foldable phone, which will be positioned below the Snapdragon 8 Gen 2-powered Honor Magic V2. Another trusted source, Teme, confirmed the device’s existence, referring to it as the Magic V2 Youth Edition.

As per the Chinese tipster, the Magic V2 Lite will feature the Snapdragon 8+ Gen 1 chip and have an affordable price tag. Hence, it may cost around 5,000 Yuan. The other details of the Magic V2 Lite are yet to be revealed.

Recently, China’s MIIT certification platform approved a new Honor device with the model number VCA-AN00. This device is said to have the “Victoria” codename and “Magic V2 Slim” final marketing name.

The USP of the device is that it will be an outwardly foldable phone. It is speculated to launch in October this year in the home market.

Honor Magic V2 Lite

Next year, the brand plans to introduce the Magic Flip, its first vertically foldable smartphone. The details of this device is yet to be revealed.

In related news, Honor will announce foldable phones at the upcoming IFA 2023 tech exhibition on Sept. 1. The brand is expected to showcase the Honor Magic V2. There is a possibility that the company may also showcase the Magic V2 Slim or Lite.
