Oppo is gearing up to launch the Find N6 as the world’s first Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5-powered foldable phone. While previous leaks claimed that it may debut in January, new reports suggest that it may break cover in March in China. Now, a new development reveals that Honor, too, is preparing to launch a Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5-powered foldable. Tentatively dubbed the Honor Magic V6, it is expected to launch much earlier than anticipated.
Honor Magic V6 key details tipped

To recall, the Honor Magic V5 was announced in July 2025. Now, a new leak by tipster Digital Chat Station states that the Magic V6 has been moved up on the launch timeline. As a result, it is likely that the device may debut either in Q1 or Q2 this year.
The tipster also revealed that Honor Magic V6 prototype units are said to be testing a 200-megapixel camera. As mentioned above, the device is expected to be powered by the Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5 chipset.
The Magic V6 is said to house a battery of around 7,000mAh and is still likely to be thinner and lighter than the previous generation. The tipster added that the V6 could potentially end up as the foldable with the largest battery this year. For reference, the Magic V5 houses a 6,100mAh battery, weighs 222 grams, and measures 9mm in thickness when folded. In the unfolded state, it has an ultra-thin profile of 4.2mm.
He further added that if the Oppo Find N6 debuts after the upcoming Chinese Spring Festival, the two foldable phones may launch around the same time and compete directly with each other.
