After launching the Honor Magic4 series in the global market earlier this year, Honor is now back with a more affordable model from the Magic4 series lineup known as the Honor Magic4 Lite in the European market. However, despite being launched under the Magic4 series branding, this device is inherently a rebranded model of the Honor X30 which was unveiled in the Chinese market last year.
Right off the bat, the Honor Magic4 Lite features a 6.81” IPS LCD display which offers a FHD+ screen resolution and a smooth 120Hz refresh rate. On top of that, it also has a centered hole-punch cutout to accommodate it’s 16 megapixels selfie camera.
At the back, that’s where things get a bit more interesting. It comes with a circular camera island that’s heavily inspired by the Huawei Mate 40 Pro (Review) and the Honor Magic 3. Anyway, the three cameras include a 48 megapixels main camera as well as a pair of 2 megapixels camera for macro and depth information.
Under the hood, the Honor X30 is powered by a newly announced Snapdragon 695 chipset. This is the same chipset which is found in other recent models such as the POCO X4 Pro 5G (Review). Other than that, it also has up to 12GB RAM and 256GB built-in storage in the memory department.
To keep it’s lights on, the Honor X30 draws power from a respectable 4,800mAh battery with 66W fast-charging support. On the software-side, it’ll be shipped with the company’s in-house Magic UI 5.0 based on Android 11 out of the box.
For those who’re interested, the Honor Magic4 Lite is available in a trio of colors including Ocean Blue, Titanium Silver and Midnight Black. At the moment, the company has yet to officially announce the pricing and availability details of the device.
