Following the launch of the Honor Play 30 Plus, Honor has now introduced a new model in the Chinese market known as the Honor Play 30 that comes with slightly watered-down specs along with a more affordable launch price.
Starting with the front side of the phone, the new Honor Play 30 features a 6.5” TFT LCD display that offers a HD+ screen resolution alongside a 60Hz refresh rate. To help with selfies and video calls, the device also has a 5 megapixels front-facing camera situated within a waterdrop-notch.
Over on the rear side, the Honor Play 30 sports a square-shaped camera module which houses a single 13 megapixels main camera along with a LED flash to help with low-light photography. Interestingly, the phone doesn’t supports biometric authentication due to the absence of fingerprint scanner on the device.
Under the hood, the Honor Play 30 is powered by an octa-core Snapdragon 480+ chipset which will be paired with up to 8GB RAM and 128GB built-in storage that can still be expanded via a microSD card.
To keep it’s lights on, the device will be equipped with a respectable 5,000mAh battery with 10W charging speed. Coming to the software side, the Honor Play 30 boots on the Magic UI 5.0 based on Android 11 OS out of the box.
For those who’re interested, the Honor Play 30 is available in four different colors such as black, blue, silver, and gold. Pricing and availability details of the phone however, are yet to be announced by the company.
