Honor has quietly announced a budget-centric smartphone, dubbed as the Honor Play 3e in the Chinese market earlier today. As it’s name suggests, the device is essentially the watered-down version of the Honor Play 3 which was announced at the start of the month.
Honor Play 3e Specifications
The Honor Play 3e comes with a 5.71-inch display with 1520 x 720 pixels screen resolution and a 19:9 tall aspect ratio. The device has been awarded the TÜV certification for it’s eye protection mode.
The Honor Play 3e is driven by the octa-core Mediatek Helio P22 SoC coupled with up to 3GB of RAM and up to 64GB onboard storage space. If you find it’s internal storage space insufficient, it can be further expanded by up to 512GB courtesy of it’s microSD slot.
Moving on to it’s camera, the device has a single 13 megapixels main snapper at the back, as well as a 5 megapixels front-facing selfie camera. Beneath the device sits a 3,020mAh battery which is capable of supporting hours of continuous usage on the go. The device runs on the EMUI 9.1 based on Android Pie OS.
For those who’re interested, the device is available in 3 color options namely Magic Night Black, Aurora Blue and Platinum Gold.
Honor Play 3e Pricing & Availability
