Today, a tipster released what seems to be an official poster for the Honor Play 8T, confirming its debut on October 18 in China. It appears that the device will be quite similar to the Honor Play 50 Plus, which recently debuted earlier this month in the Chinese market.
Honor Play 8T design, key specifications (rumored)
The Honor Play 8T’s poster has revealed its design and key specifications. The device features a punch-hole display on the front and showcases a wavy pattern on its back panel. The Play 8T is equipped with dual camera rings that house a dual-camera setup along with an LED flash.
The phone’s edges are flat, with a SIM slot located on the left side. Unfortunately, the right and bottom edges of the phone are not visible in the image, but it confirms the presence of a microphone on the top edge.
Coming to the specs, the image confirms that the Honor Play 8T has a screen that offers up to 850 nits of brightness, 12 GB of RAM, 256 GB of storage, and a massive 6,000mAh battery. The device is equipped with a 50-megapixel primary camera.
To recall, Honor launched the Honor Play 7T and Honor Play 40 Plus last year in China. While these phones flaunted different designs, they were packed with the same internals, albeit with some changes in the configurations. Hence, it appears that the Play 8T could be similar to the Honor Play 50 Plus.
For those who don’t know, the Honor Play 50 Plus has a 6.8-inch FHD+ 90Hz display, an 8-megapixel front camera, and a 50-megapixel + 2-megapixel dual camera system. The Dimensity 6020-powered device offers 8 GB / 12 GB of RAM, 256 GB of storage, a 6,000mAh battery with 35W fast charging, Magic OS 7.2-based Android 13, and a side-facing fingerprint scanner.
