Honor has officially announced a new mid-ranger smartphone in the Chinese market dubbed as the Honor Play5 Vitality Edition (aka Honor Play5 Lite) which carries an affordable starting price of just 1,799 Yuan (US$282).
For starter, the Honor Play5 Vitality Edition builds around a 6.67” IPS LCD display that offers a FHD+ screen resolution topped with a smooth 120Hz refresh rate as well as DCI-P3 color gamut coverage for high color accuracy.
At the back of the phone, it features a humongous square-shaped camera island that houses a dual-cam setup comprising of a 64 megapixels main camera as well as a 2 megapixels depth sensor. This will be rounded out by a 16 megapixels selfie camera upfront.
Under the hood, the Honor Play5 Vitality Edition is backed by an octa-core MediaTek Dimensity 900 chipset which will be paired with 8GB RAM as well as an option between 128GB or 256GB built-in storage.
