Honor V40 Light Luxury Edition Set to Launch on March 23, Official Renders Appear

The live images of the forthcoming Honor V40 Light Luxury Edition were spotted on Weibo yesterday. Rumors surrounding the phone claimed that it will go official on March 23. Today, Honor released official confirmation that the Honor V40 Light Luxury Edition that will indeed launch on the said date.

The Honor V40 Light Luxury Edition is now up for registrations through popular Chinese retailer sites likes JD.com, Suning, Tmall, as well as the Honor Mall. As can be seen in the launch date poster of the Honor V40 Light Luxury Edition, its entire design is very similar to the Huawei Nova 8 5G that went official in China in January this year.

The frontside of the Honor V40 Light Luxury Edition has a punch-hole display with curved edges. Its back panel has a quad-camera setup placed inside a oval-shaped module. It is speculated that the device will be heading to global markets with Honor V40 Lite moniker.

The Honor V40 Light Luxury Edition is rumored to house an FHD+ OLED screen that supports a 90Hz refresh rate, a 240Hz touch sampling rate, and a 10-bit color depth. The Dimensity 800U chipset is likely to power the handset.

The handset may arrive with support for 66W fast charging for its 3,800mAh battery. A 32-megapixel selfie camera might be present on the phone. Its rear camera setup may include a 64-megpaixle main camera, an 8-megapixel ultrawide lens, a 2-megapixel depth sensor, and a 2-megapixel macro camera. There is no word on the pricing of the smartphone.
