Several reports have claimed that Honor will end the year 2025 by announcing the Honor GT 2 series of gaming-focused phones in December in China. However, new developments show that the company has decided to change the name of the series to Win. Here’s a look at the latest developments about the upcoming Honor Win series.
Why the Win series is replacing the expected GT 2 models

A listing that has surfaced on JD.com China suggest that the Win branding will take the place of the previously expected GT 2 and GT 2 Pro names. Mentions of dual performance-focused flagships indicate that the lineup will include at least two models.
Past reports have revealed that the Snapdragon 8 Elite will power the base variant and Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5 will be available on the higher model, which aligns with the kind of positioning expected from successors to the GT range. The new lineup is said to introduce engine-level performance tuning, along with gaming advancements that may include AI-driven improvements for frame stability, touch accuracy and thermal control during prolonged gaming sessions.
Battery capacity is expected to see a substantial jump, with reports suggesting units around 8,500mAh and even larger cells being tested. Both devices are believed to have appeared with model numbers AAK-AN00 and AAP-AN00 on China’s 3C certification platform, accompanied by a 100W charger.
Early information also points to a large 1.5K flat display, a metal frame and strong water resistance. For imaging, a 50-megapixel main camera could be paired with Honor’s computational photography features to enhance output.
