On Sept. 15, Honor will hold a launch event in China. At the event, new MagicBook models, the Honor Tab X8, and the Honor X40 5G will be released. Honor has been slowly revealing the main features of the X40 phone, but a new leak from a reliable source, Digital Chat Station, has revealed all of its specs.
Honor X40 5G specifications (rumoured)
The Honor X40 5G leak by DCS reveals that it will feature a 6.67-inch OLED display that offers a Full HD resolution of 1080 x 2400 pixels, a 120Hz refresh rate, high-frequency PWM dimming, and 10-bit colors. The images of the phone that have surfaced so far have revealed that it will be sporting a curved edge display with a centrally positioned punch-hole. It seems to be equipped with an in-display fingerprint sensor.
Coming to the optics, the Honor X40 5G will be equipped with an 8-megapixel front-facing camera. Its back panel has a 50-megapixel main camera and a 2-megapixel auxiliary camera. As official images have revealed, the device will sport a unique camera design.
The Honor X40 5G will be equipped with the Snapdragon 695 chipset. The same chip fuels its predecessor, the Honor X30 5G, which debuted in December 2021. The device will pack a 5,100mAh battery with 40W charging support. It will run on Magic UI 6.1, which is based on the Android 12 OS.
The leak has no information on the RAM and storage capacities of the Honor X40 5G. In all likelihood, the device will be equipped with up to 12 GB of RAM and up to 256 GB of storage as was seen on its predecessor. Lastly, the device measures around 161.6 x 73.9 x 7.9mm and weighs around 172 grams.
