Honor unveiled the Honor X40 4G featuring the Snapdragon 695 chipset last month in China. According to a Chinese tipster, the brand is now working on a new X40-series phone called the Honor X40 GT. The tipster also revealed the key details of the smartphone.
An Honor phone with model number ADT-AN00 was certified by the 3C authority of China recently. The device may break cover with the Honor X40 GT moniker in the home market. It was revealed that the device would be announced after the November 11 holiday in China. Likewise, it was also noted performance will be the main focus of the Honor X40 GT.
While the X40 GT is said to be a performance-driven phone, it may debut as one of the first phones powered by the Snapdragon 6 Gen 1 SoC. Reports surrounding it have claimed that it may feature a 120Hz OLED display with curved edges. Also, the phone may be fitted with a large 6,000mh battery that comes with 66W fast charging support. Hopefully, the rumor mill will spill more information about the device in the coming weeks.

The Honor X40 has a 6.67-inch OLED display that offers a Full HD+ resolution and a 120Hz refresh rate. The Snapdragon 695 powered device is equipped with up to 12 GB of RAM and 256 GB of storage. It packs a 5,000mAh battery with 66W fast charging support. It has an 8-megapixel front camera and 50-megapixel + 2-megapixel dual rear cameras. It is available in China with a starting price of 1,499 Yuan ($210).
