How to root Gionee Elife E5The Gionee Elife E5 is a mid-range Android smartphone released back in July last year, spotting a 4.8-inch HD display powered by a 1.5GHz quad-core processor and 1GB RAM. Besides that, the device also comes with a 6.85mm ultra slim body – making it one of the slimmest smartphone available in the market. Thanks to djrbliss from xda-developers, the Gionee Elife E5 can now be easily rooted using the MotoChopper program. Prerequisites before you begin rooting Gionee Elife E5

  1. Download the MotoChopper file to your PC.
  2. Make sure you have installed the necessary device driver on your PC. If you have not do so, you can download the device driver here.
  3. Make sure there is at least 80% battery left on your smartphone before begin rooting your device.
  4. Make sure you have enabled USB Debugging from your device’s settings.
  5. Back up the Gionee Elife E5.

Follow the steps below on how to root Gionee Elife E5

  1. Extract the MotoChopper file to your desktop.
  2. Connect the Gionee Elife E5 to your PC. It should be able to detect your device.
  3. From the extracted file, double-click on the run.bat.
  4. A pop-up will then appear asking for permission to be granted. Click on Grant to continue.
  5. Your device will then reboot.
  6. Congratulation! You’ve just rooted the Gionee Elife E5.
