How to root Gionee Elife E7The Gionee Elife E7 is a high-end Android smartphone released back in November last year, spotting a 5.5-inch FHD display powered by the latest Snapdragon 800 chipset and 3GB RAM. Like most other Android devices running on the Snapdragon 800 processor, the Gionee Elife E7 can also be easily rooted using the vroot program. However, doing so will of course void your device’s warranty as well. In this tutorial, I will be guiding you on how to root Gionee Elife E7 using vroot.

Disclaimer : During the process of rooting, there is always a risk for you to brick your Android device. So if you choose to root your device, you are doing it at your own risk!

Prerequisites before you begin rooting Gionee Elife E7

  1. Download the vroot program to your PC.
  2. Make sure you have enabled USB Debugging from your device’s settings.
  3. Make sure there is at least 80% battery left on your smartphone before begin rooting your device.
  4. Back up the Gionee Elife E7.

Follow the steps below on how to root Gionee Elife E7

  1. Install vroot on your PC by double-clicking on its icon.
  2. After its being installed, launch the program on your PC.
  3. Connect the Gionee Elife E7 to your PC using an appropriate USB cable.
  4. From the program, click on the ROOT button ( Green button ) to begin rooting the device.
  5. You’ll be prompted once your device has been rooted. This may take a few minutes.
  6. Congratulation! You’ve just rooted Gionee Elife E7!
