How to root the Huawei Ascend G510If you’re holding on to the Huawei Ascend G510 and want to have the device rooted, then you’re definitely at the right place! This article will be guiding you on how to root the Huawei Ascend G510 in less than an hour.

 

However before we begin, I would like to warn you that during the process of rooting, there is a risk of bricking your own device. So if you still want to proceed, you’ll be doing it at your own risk and we will hold no responsible for any form of damage on your device. Its a good practice for you to backup your device to an external source apart from your own SD Card.

 

Follow the steps below on how to root the Huawei Ascend G510 :

 

  1. Download the RootG510.zip and extract it to a folder on your desktop.
  2. Connect your Huawei Ascend G510 to your PC using a USB cable.
  3. From the extracted folder, copy the update.app to the dload folder in the internal storage of the Huawei Ascend G510.
  4. Once done, disconnect your device from the PC.
  5. Switch off your device.
  6. Turn on your device by pressing the Volume Up, Volume Down and Power buttons together for a moment.
  7. This will flash the update.app on your device.
  8. Once done, reboot your device.
  9. Once again, connect your Huawei Ascend G510 to your PC using a USB cable.
  10. From the extracted folder, double-click on the rootx_start.bat.
  11. It will begin rooting your device.
  12. Once done, you have to reboot your device for the last time.
  13. Congratulation! You’ve just rooted the Huawei Ascend G510.
