The HTC Desire 516 which was first released in China a few months ago is now making its way to the Indian market. The news came after an Indian import tracking website listed a few thousand dummy units of the Desire 516 handsets made way into the country.
The HTC Desire 516 is a mid-range Android smartphone that should come with a price tag below Rs 10,000 to compete with other budget smartphones from Micromax and other manufacturers in India.
The device sports a 5-inch qHD display powered by a 1.3GHz quad-core chipset along with 1GB of RAM, 5MP main camera, 2MP front camera, 4GB internal storage, microSD slot, 1,950mAh removable battery as well as Android 4.3 Jelly Bean OS.
We’re not sure exactly when it’ll be officially announced in India, but we do expect to be somewhere during early July.
