The IFA 2018 tech expo has begun in Berlin, Germany and the HTC U12 Life is one of the first smartphones to go official at the event. The handset has arrived with a dual-finish appearance like the Google Pixel phones. Also, it features a narrow body that promises better grip.
HTC U12 Life Specifications and Pricing
The HTC U12 Life’s rear panel is made from acrylic material. The upper part of the back panel is glossy, and the remaining portion has subtle stripes that promotes better grip. The handset comes in colors like Moonlight Blue and Twilight Purple.
The U12 Life features a 6-inch LTPS LCD display that supports Full HD+ resolution. It offers an aspect ratio of 18:9. The top bezel of the phone houses a front-facing camera of 13-megapixel with f/2.0 aperture and LED flash. The 16-megapixel + 5-megapixel dual camera setup that carries support for 4K video recording is available on the back of U12 Life.
The Snapdragon 636 SoC, 4 GB of RAM and 3,600mAh battery equipped with 10W charging are the components that powers the HTC U12 Life. It has an inbuilt storage of 64 GB. In Taiwan, the company will be selling its 128 GB variant. For more storage, there is a microSD card slot on the phone. The other features of the smartphone include rear-mounted fingerprint sensor, stereo speakers, 3.5mm audio jack, USB-C, NFC, GPS, Bluetooth 5.0, Wi-Fi 802.11ac and dual 4G VoLTE.
The U12 Life is priced at ~$335 and it will be hitting the European, Asian and the Middle East markets by late September or early October.
