Huawei has silently unveiled the Huawei Band 6 fitness band in Malaysia. It has arrived as the successor to 2019’s Band 4, which means the company has skipped the Band 5 moniker for it.
The new wearable tech offers a big-sized display and promises up to two weeks of battery life. As far as fitness is concerned, it offers numerous workout modes and health tracking sensors.
Huawei Band 6 Specifications and Features
The Huawei Band 6 measures 43 x 25.4 x 10.99mm and around 18 grams, without the UV-treated silicone wrist strap. The fitness band has a touch-sensitive 1.4-inch AMOLED color display that produces offers a full experience and a resolution of 194 x 368 pixels.
Compared to the predecessor model, the Band 6 offers 148 percent increased displaying areal. Users can customize its appearance by choosing the desired watch face designs available at the Huawei Watch Face Store.
The Band 6 features a hardware button for accessing its different features. With Bluetooth 5.0 BLE onboard, the smart band can be paired with devices on Android 6.0 or higher and iOS 9.0 or later. According to Huawei, the Band 6 offers can run for around two weeks on a single charge. It also claimed that it can last for 2 days with just 5 minutes of charge. The fitness tracker comes with magnetic thimble for charging.
Coming to the health features, the Huawei Band 6 features 24hr heart rate sensor, sleep tracker, stress monitor, SpO2 sensor for tracking blood oxygen content, and 96 workout modes. The Band 6 can work as a personal assistant as it can show notifications for calls and messages from the paired phone, weather updates, control music, and snap photos from the phone’s camera.
Huawei Band 6 Pricing and Availability
The Huawei Band 6 is priced at RM 219 ($53) in Malaysia. It comes in three colors like Graphic Black, Amber Sunrise, and Forest Green. The first sale of the Band 6 will be carried out in the country on April 4.
