Recent reports have revealed that the upcoming Huawei Enjoy 20 Plus will be driven by the Kirin 820 chipset. However, a tipster took to Weibo to reveal that the company has swapped the Kirin SoC with a MediaTek’s low-end 5G chipset. He also shared the key specs of the device.
Recent reports have revealed that the FRL-AN00a phone that has now appeared in TENAA’s database with few specs and that has already been certified by the 3C authority is the upcoming Huawei Enjoy 20 Plus smartphone. Early reports had claimed that the Enjoy 20 Plus that is codenamed is Franklin will come with Kirin 820. However, it is now revealed that the phone will be driven by one of the Dimensity SoCs that was recently announced by MediaTek.
Owning to the changes in the recent ban by the U.S. on Huawei, the latter has reportedly placed an order of 120 million chips from MediaTek. It is said that at least 7 of the Huawei phones planned for this year will have MediaTek chipsets.
Huawei Enjoy 20+ Specifications
The Huawei Enjoy 20+ has a notch-less full HD+ resolution supporting the display of 6.63 inches. The handset is fueled by a 4,200mAh battery that supports 40W fast charging technology. It was previously speculated that the Enjoy 20+ will come with 22.5W fast charging support. The phone features a side-mounted fingerprint reader.
The backside of the phone has a round-shaped camera module that houses a 48-megapixel + 8-megapixel + 2-megapixel triple camera unit. The thickness of the device is 8.95mm and it weighs 197 grams.
