Huawei has taken off covers from the Maimang 8 smartphone in China. The handset is the rebranded version of the P Smart+ 2019 smartphone that was unveiled for the international markets in March. Here is all the information on the Maimang 8 that was revealed through its launch.

The Maimang 8 has a waterdrop-like notch enabled IPS LCD panel of 6.2 inches. The TUV Rheinland certified display prevents the users from getting damage from harmful rays coming from the screen. It offers a screen space of 89 percent.
The Kirin 710 chipset, 6 GB of RAM and 3,400mAh battery are the driving forces of the smartphone. It has a native storage of 128 GB and a microSD card slot is available for expanding the storage. The EMUI 9 based Android 9 Pie OS is loaded on the device.
The 24-megapixel + 16-megapixel + 2-megapixel triple camera setup resides on the backside of the Maimang 8. For capturing selfies, it has a front camera of 8-megapixel. The smartphone features a rear-mounted fingerprint reader. The smartphone can smartly switch between Wi-Fi and LAN networks when any of those suffer from poor connectivity. The other connectivity features available on the phone are dual 4G VoLTE, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, GPS, microUSB 2.0 and 3.5mm audio jack.
The pre-sale of the Huawei Maimang 8 begins today in China with sales starting from June 12. It carries a price tag of 1,899 Yuan ($275). Magic Night Black and Blue Sapphire are its two color editions.
