Back in September last year, Huawei announced the Huawei Maimang 7, also known as the Mate 20 Lite in the global market. Right now, the Chinese company has officially confirmed that they will be announcing the new Maimang 8 on June 5th – three months earlier than expected.
As of now, we’re not sure if the upcoming Maimang 8 will be sold in the global market as the Huawei Mate 30 Lite but if it does, then we can expect the upcoming Mate 30 series to share some similar design language as the Maimang 8.
According to the promotional teaser released by Huawei, the Maimang 8 will be coming with a 6.21-inches waterdrop display which seems to have a high screen-to-body ratio. The device will also arrive with 6GB+128GB memory configuration and will feature a triple-camera setup at the back which has a 24 megapixels main snapper and a ultrawide angle sensor.
As for the rest of the specs and its pricing, we will need to wait till June 5th where it will all be officially unveiled.
