Huawei Mate 10 and Mate 10 Pro are powered by the Kirin 970 chipset that is enabled with Neural Processing Unit for dedicatedly handling AI. Both the smartphones have recorded impressive benchmark scores on AnTuTu.
The above image shows a score of 173,757 for a smartphone that has a model number of BLA-L29. This very same handset has appeared several times on Geekbench over the past week. It seems to be Mate 10 Pro as it features 6 GB of RAM. The second image shows ALP-AL00 smartphone with a score of 176,174 on AnTuTu. This mode number belongs to the regular Huawei Mate 10 that has 4 GB of RAM.
The iPhone 8 Plus and iPhone 8 Plus that are driven by Apple A11 Bionic chipset is leading the pack with respective scores of 212,728 and 205,386. The OnePlus 5 is holding the third position on AnTuTu benchmarks with a score of 181,410. The Nubia Z17 is ahead of Mate 10 with a score of 177,700. The OP5 and Z17 are driven by Snapdragon 835 chipset.
Since the Mate 10 with Kirin 970 ranked ahead of HTC U11, Xiaomi Mi 6, and Sony Xperia XZ Premium that are powered by Snapdragon 835, it can be said that the performance of the Kirin 970 is on par with Qualcomm’s flagship chipset.
