Today, AnTuTu is finally back with with the list of top 10 best performing flagship phones for the month of October. This time round, we’re greeted with a couple of new faces in the list of top 10 best performing flagship phones which include the likes of the newly announced Huawei Mate 40 Pro and the Redmi K30S Ultra.
As usual, the data source of this ranking was culminated from AnTuTu Benchmark V8 from October 1st to 31st. It’s worth noting that the average score was calculated from more than 1,000 devices, and may continue to change as more devices are being benchmarked.
For the month of October, the Huawei Mate 40 Pro had overtaken the iQOO 5 Pro to become the best performing flagship phone with an average score of 685,339 points.
Although 685,339 points is already an impressive score, but AnTuTu noted that the actual score should far exceed the current value if the “Performance mode” is activated on the device.
Based on an independent testing carried out by AnTuTu, the Mate 40 Pro is said to easily exceed the 720,000 points mark with the “Performance mode” toggled on.
As we know, the Huawei Mate 40 Pro is powered by the latest HiSilicon Kirin 9000 chipset fabricated under a 5nm process. The model which was used in this benchmark test features 8GB LPDDR5 RAM alongside 256GB UFS 3.1 flash storage.
The reasons attributed to its record-breaking score doesn’t lie solely in its higher CPU clocked speed, but also its exceptional memory performance thanks to Huawei’s proprietary dynamic group compression and super memory flash fusion technologies.
The iQOO 5 Pro which was previously the top-scoring flagship phone in September now sits in the second position with an average score of 663,979 points. The device is powered by the Snapdragon 865 chipset assisted by a top-tier 12GB LPDDR5 RAM and 256GB UFS 3.1 storage memory setup.
Although the Snapdragon 865 is slightly behind the Snapdragon 865+ in terms of clocking speed, but the iQOO 5 Pro managed to pull off a higher score than the other Snapdragon 865+ devices due to its software optimizations and advanced cooling technology.
Subsequently, the third to tenth positions will be occupied by the iQOO 5, Vivo X50 Pro+, Redmi K30 Ultra, Xiaomi Mi 10 Ultra, ASUS ROG Phone 3 (Review), Lenovo Legion Duel, Black Shark 3S, as well as OPPO Find X2 Pro (Review).
For the month of November, we won’t be expecting to see a huge overhaul to the list of top 10 flagship devices. However, we might be greeted by some new faces including the newly announced Xiaomi Mi 10T Pro.
