After making its high profile global debut last month, the Huawei Mate 40 Pro (Review) is now finally heading to the global market with UAE being among the first market to begin selling this highly anticipated handset.
In UAE, the Huawei Mate 40 Pro will be retailing at AED3,999 (US$1,089) for its sole 8GB+256GB model. That’s in fact way more affordable than its 1,199 Euro (S$1,920) launch price for the European markets.
On top of that, the device will also be accompanied by a free gift bundle worth AED1,099 (US$299) that include a free 1-year Huawei Mobile Cloud (50GB) service, 100 AED Talabat voucher, 1-year Starzplay subscription, as well as 6-months Huawei Music premium.
As a quick recap, the Huawei Mate 40 Pro features a 6.76-inches OLED display that comes with an immersive 1,344 x 2,772 pixels screen resolution and a smooth 90Hz screen refresh rate.
In the camera department, the Huawei Mate 40 Pro arrives with a triple camera system consisting of a 50 megapixels (f/1.9 aperture) Super Sensing Wide sensor with OIS stabilization, 20 megapixels (f/2.4 aperture) ultra-wide cine camera that features a free form lens to minimize distortions, as well as a 12 megapixels periscope telephoto lens. This will be rounded out by a pair of 13 megapixels primary shooter and a 3D ToF sensor at the front.
Under the hood, the Huawei Mate 40 Pro is powered by the latest Kirin 9000 chipset manufactured under a 5nm process. Featuring more than 15.3 billion transistors, the Kirin 9000 chipset is able to achieve a peak frequency of up to 3.13 GHz which is relatively higher than the current Snapdragon 865+ SoC.
To keep the device running, the Mate 40 Pro is equipped with a respectable 4,400mAh battery which supports an upgraded 66W Huawei SuperCharge fast-charging solution. Taking things further, the device also support an incredible fast 55W wireless charging as well.
