Huawei that is one of the major rivals of Samsung and Apple is yet to confirm its launch event for the highly anticipated Mate 40 series. While the company is taking its time to make an announcement on the unveiling event, the leaksters are working hard to reveal more details on the Mate 40 series. A reliable tipster from China has shared the leaked information of the front cameras of the Mate 40 series.
According to the tipster, the Huawei Mate 40 has a single front-facing camera. The Mate 40 Pro and Mate 40 Pro Plus will be sporting two front-facing cameras. Both phones are expected to feature a pill-shaped cutout on their screens.
The tipster revealed that the dual camera setup of the Huawei Mate 40 Pro and 40 Pro+ will include Sony IMX588 as the primary shooter and the Sony IMX516 has a ToF lens.
There are speculations that the Huawei Mate 40 series will be equipped with Sony IMX700 primary shooter on its back. The Sony IMX700 lens was used by Huawei’s Honor sub-brand on the Honor 30 Pro+. Past reports have revealed that the Mate 40 series will be featuring a round-shaped camera module on its back.
A recent leak has revealed that the Mate 40 series will be powered by the upcoming Kirin 9000 and Kirin 9000E. A tipster recently revealed that the Kirin 9000E is similar to the existing Kirin 990 5G, whereas the Kirin 9000 is an advanced chipset.
