Over the past couple of days, Huawei launched the Mate 60 and Mate 60 Pro 5G in the Chinese market. Rumors surrounding the Mate 60 series claim that the brand will announce the Mate 60 Pro+ and Mate 60 RS in September. A new leak suggests that the Pro+ model will be equipped with a quad-camera system on the back.
According to a Chinese tipster, the upcoming Huawei Mate 60 Pro+ has as many as six camera cutouts, including the LED flash on the back. Hence, it is said that the device may feature as many as four cameras on the back along with a flash. The tipster did not share details about the different cameras that will be available on the Pro+ model.
The Mate 60 Pro’s rear camera setup has a 50-megapixel main camera with variable aperture (f/1.4 – f/4.0 aperture) and OIS, a 12-megapixel ultra-wide-angle camera (F2.2 aperture), and an OIS-enabled 48-megapixel periscope telephoto camera with 3.5x optical zoom and an impressive 100x digital zoom. There is a possibility that the Mate 60 Pro+ may feature an additional telephoto camera.
A purported image of the Mate 60 Pro+ has emerged online. Interestingly, the front of the device can be seen sporting an unconventional four-punch hole design. To recall, the Mate 60 features a single-hole display design, while the Mate 60 Pro incorporates a triple punch-hole display design. It is unclear why the Mate 60 Pro+ would adopt a quad-punch hole design. The authenticity of the leaked image remains questionable and could likely be the creation of an online user.
