The Huawei Mate X3 is said to be in the works. A fresh leak that has appeared on Weibo states that it will launch by the end of this year in China. The leak also mentions some of the improvements that will be seen on the Mate X3.
According to a tipster from China, Huawei will hold a launch event in December 2022. The platform will be used to announce the Mate X3 foldable smartphone and the Freebuds 5 semi-in-ear headphones. The tipster did not share any information on the Freebuds 5.
The tipster claimed that the Mate X3 would be a thinner and lighter device as compared to its predecessor. In addition, it will be a fall-resistant device. The foldable phone will arrive with an upgraded hinge, and the screen crease will be significantly reduced.
The Mate X3 will be a 4G device. At present, it is unclear whether it will feature a Kirin or Qualcomm chip. The tipster also claimed that the device would be priced much lower than its predecessor. The tipster had claimed in June that the device would offer an inward folding design like its predecessor. The Mate Xs 2, which debuted in April, came with an outward folding design.
