Huawei has confirmed that it will unveil the Nova 12 series of smartphones on Dec. 26 in China. The lineup is expected to include multiple models, such as the Nova 12, Nova 12 Lite (Vitality Edition), Nova 12 Pro, and Nova 12 Ultra. Today, tipster Digital Chat Station took to Weibo to share the key details of the Nova 12 Pro and 12 Ultra.

According to information shared by tipster Digital Chat Station, the upcoming Huawei Nova 12 Ultra and Nova 12 Pro will be equipped with an impressive camera system. The front of these devices will feature a dual-camera setup, including a 60-megapixel primary sensor and an 8-megapixel secondary sensor designed for 2X portrait shots.
On the rear, users can anticipate a powerful 50-megapixel RYYB main camera with a unique f/1.4-f4.0 physical variable aperture using RYYB technology, promising exceptional image quality. It appears that the Nova 12 series will not have a telephoto camera in its rear camera setup.
In terms of design and display, the Nova 12 Ultra and Nova 12 Pro are said to sport a curved-edge OLED screen with a dual punch-hole design. The screen is said to support a 1.5K resolution, and it will be equipped with an in-screen fingerprint sensor.
The Nova 12 Pro and Ultra models will have a plastic frame. In addition, these devices are also expected to introduce Harmony OS’ Smart Communications for enhanced connectivity. Other reports have claimed that both devices will be equipped with the Kirin 9000s chipset. The Snapdragon 778 4G chipset is likely to power the Nova 12, and a 4G chip is also reportedly present in the Nova 12 Lite.
