After bringing the Nova 5T into the Nova 5 family, Huawei is now prepping to introduce yet another device for the smartphone series – Huawei Nova 5z.
Earlier today, Huawei has published an official promo poster of the Nova 5z which revealed the entire front and rear design of the device, as well as some of it’s key specs.
The front panel of the Huawei Nova 5z shares a close resemblance to the current Nova 5i Pro, as it deploys a hole-punched display to house it’s selfie camera. It’s back panel is where there is some slight distinction between the two.
Although both the devices have a squircle camera housing on the flip side, but we could see that the quad-camera sensors on the upcoming Nova 5z has it’s own layer of glass which sits on top of each individual sensors. The Nova 5i Pro on the other hand, has a huge glass panel which covers all the camera sensors.
According to the poster, the quad-camera setup will comprise of a 48 megapixels main snapper, an 8 megapixels ultrawide lens, a 2 megapixels macro camera, as well as a 2 megapixels depth sensor. Furthermore, it will also be accompanied by a 32 megapixels selfie camera at the front.
Under the hood, the Nova 5z will also be driven by the same Kirin 810 SoC found in the Nova 5i Pro, so it remains as a mystery what is in fact the major difference between the two devices.
Although Huawei has yet to reveal anything about the device’s launch date, but it’s home screen seems to hint that the Nova 5z may make it’s official debut on October 21st.
