Huawei Nova 7i goes official with Kirin 810, 40W Huawei SuperCharge & 48MP Quad-camera

Huawei has quietly announced a new mid-ranger smartphone, known as the Huawei Nova 7i in Malaysia today. This device is in fact, the rebranded version of of the Nova 6 SE which was announced in China last year.

Although this device doesn’t comes with the usual Google apps and services we saw on other Android smartphones, but it do offer loads of impressive features and most importantly, an attractive price point.

Huawei Nova 7i Specification

For starter, the Huawei Nova 7i comes with a 6.4-inch IPS LCD display with FHD+ screen resolution. It has an overall footprint measuring 159.2 mm x 76.3 mm x 8.7 mm and weighs approximately 183 grams.

Under the hood, the Nova 7i is driven by an octa-core Kirin 810 SoC coupled with 8GB worth of RAM and 128GB native storage space. It’s internal storage could be further expanded by up to 256GB via a nano memory card.

On the rear panel, the device features a quad-camera setup which comprises of a 48 megapixels (f/1.8 aperture) main snapper, an 8 megapixels ultra wide lens, a 2 megapixels macro lens, as well as a 2 megapixels depth sensor for portraits.

At the front, there is also a 16 megapixels (f/2.0 aperture) selfie camera. It’s selfie camera has a unique Super Night Selfie 2.0 mode which “automatically brightens your face in dimly-lit places, and optimizes the lighting, saturation and contrast of the background to accentuate you”.

The Huawei Nova 7i will be fueled by a 4,200mAh battery which supports Huawei’s 40W SuperCharge technology that could bring your device from 0 to 70% within 30 minutes. Software-wise, the device will run on the latest EMUI 10 based on Android 10 OS. 

For those who’re interested, the device is available in three different color options including Sakura Pink, Midnight Black and Crush Green.

Huawei Nova 7i Pricing & Availability

Starting tomorrow, February 14th, the Huawei Nova 7i will be up for pre-orders in Malaysia. The device will be priced aggressively at just RM1,099 (US$265). That’s even cheaper than it’s Nova 6 SE counterpart which was priced at 2,199 Yuan (US$312).

As of now, there is still no news on when this device will be heading to the other markets.
