Back in December last year, Huawei took the wrap off the brand new Huawei Nova 6 and Nova 6 SE mid-ranger smartphones in the Chinese market.
Now, it seems like the Nova 6 SE will finally be heading out of the Chinese market after a long wait. However, this device will be rebranded as the Huawei Nova 7i in the global market.
According to Huawei, the Huawei Nova 7i will be launched in Malaysia on Valentine Day which falls on February 14th. Just like the Nova 5T, Malaysia is once again the first market in the world to debut the Nova 7i this year.
In the Chinese market, the Nova 7i comes with an affordable price tag of just 2,199 Yuan (US$312).
Sad to say, the Huawei Nova 7i is unlikely to come with licensed Google Play apps and services (GMS) this time round as well.
Huawei Nova 7i Design
The Huawei Nova 7i deploys a typical hole-punched style display for it’s front panel. It will feature a single 16 megapixels selfie camera.
On the back panel, there is a squarish camera module which houses 4 camera sensors including a 48 megapixels main snapper, an 8 megapixels ultra wide lens, a 2 megapixels macro lens, as well as a 2 megapixels depth sensor for portraits. Below the camera module sits a LED flash for low-light conditions.
Huawei Nova 7i Specifications
The Huawei Nova 7i is expected to come with a 6.4-inch IPS LCD display with FHD+ screen resolution. It will also be employing a side-mounted fingerprint sensor instead of a under display fingerprint sensor.
Under the hood, the device is driven by a mid-ranger Kirin 810 SoC coupled with 8GB worth of RAM and 128GB onboard storage which is expandable by up to 256GB.
Software-wise, it will run on the latest EMUI 10 based on Android 10 OS. It will be fueled by a 4,200mAh battery which supports up to 40W fast-charging.
