Rumors have it that the Huawei is working on the Nova 8 series of smartphones and it may launch it by the end of this year. A tipster from China has shared the key specs of the Nova 8 and Nova 8 Pro smartphones. Both phones have also seemingly appeared in the database of TENAA.
The tipster has revealed that the Nova 8 will be powered by Dimensity 820. He has mentioned that so far, the Dimensity 820 chipset has remained exclusive to the Redmi brand. However, it will be no longer be exclusive to Redmi starting from December.
The Nova 8 will be equipped with a 90Hz refresh rate supporting OLED panel supplied either by Visionex or Tianma Chinese brands. The device will be priced at 3,299 Yuan ($485).
On the other side, the Huawei Nova 8 Pro will be driven by the Dimensity 1000+ chipset. The phone will be sporting a 120Hz OLED panel provided either by Visionex or Tianma. The starting price of the Nova 8 Pro will be 3,999 Yuan ($587).
The same tipster had previously speculated that the Nova 8 series also includes Nova 8 SE smartphone. The device is said to be equipped with Dimensity 800 chipset. The 8 GB RAM + 128 GB storage edition of the Nova 8 SE will be priced at 2,799 Yuan ($411).
Another tipster revealed that the Nova 8 series is codenamed as Jessica and JessicaH. He also revealed that the JSC-TN00 and HJC-TN00 model numbers that belong to the Nova 8 series have appeared in the database of TENAA. However, TENAA is yet to carry dedicated listings with specifications for both smartphones.
