The Huawei Nova 8 and Nova 8 Pro smartphones are expected to break cover through the upcoming Dec. 23 launch event in China. Ahead of the launch, the Huawei Nova 8 has appeared in live shots to reveal its design in real. The new leak has confirmed some of the key specs of the smartphone.
Huawei Nova 8 Live Shots
The live shots suggest that the Huawei Nova 8 could be already up for display at a retail store in China. The handset can be seen in black, green, violet, and white. It can be seen flaunting a top-centered punch-hole display with slim bezels around it. The rear shell of the device is fitted with an oval-shaped camera module.
The leak reveals that the Huawei Nova 8 measures 160.1 x 74.1 x 76.4mm and it weighs 169 grams. The Nova 8 is a Kirin 985 chipset powered smartphone. It has a rated battery of 3,700mAh, which indicates its typical capacity could be 3,800mAh. The phone carries support for 66W fast charging.
The Huawei Nova 8 is fitted with a 6.57-inch OLED panel with curved edges. It offers a Full HD+ resolution and a 90Hz refresh rate. It has a selfie camera of 32-megapixel. The rear camera setup of the phone includes a 64-megapixel main camera with f/1.9 aperture, which is coupled with an 8-megapixel ultrawide lens, a 2-megapixel depth sensor, and a 2-megapixel macro lens with f/2.4 apertures.
The handset is expected to arrive in two variants such as 8 GB RAM + 128 GB storage and 8 GB RAM + 256 GB storage. It is expected to arrive with a starting price of 3,000 Yuan ($459).
