Huawei has discreetly unveiled the Huawei P40 4G smartphone in China. It is now available for purchase in China starting from today. The major highlight of the phone is that it is equipped with the 4G version of the Kirin 990 instead of the Kirin 990 5G, which fueled its 5G variant last year.
Huawei P40 Specifications and Features
The Huawei P40 4G is an IP53 certified smartphone that flaunts a 6.1-inch OLED screen with dual punch-hole cutout. The screen offers a Full HD+ resolution, a 19.5:9 aspect ratio, a 60Hz refresh rate, and an in-display fingerprint sensor.
For capturing selfies, the Huawei P40 4G is blessed with a 32-megapixel dual selfie camera system. The rectangle-shaped camera module on the back has a Leica-engineered triple camera system that comprises of a 50-megapixel UltraVision camera, a 16-megapixel ultrawide lens that can also capture 2.5cm macro shots, and an OIS enabled 8-megapixel telephoto camera that brings support for 3x optical zoom and 30x digital zoom.
The Huawei P40 4G is powered by the Kirin 990 4G chipset and 8 GB of RAM. It has an internal storage of 128 GB and it comes with an NM card slot for more storage. The JD listing has no information on the Android version and battery size of the P40 4G.
The Huawei P40 5G has a 3,800mAh battery. The same battery could be fueling the 4G version of the phone. It carries support for 22.5W fast charging.
Huawei P40 4G Price and Availability
The Huawei P40 4G is up for purchase from today in China with a price tag of 3,988 Yuan ($525). In comparison, the same 8GB+128GB edition of P40 5G is priced at 4,488 Yuan ($693) in the home market. Dark Blue and Frost Silver are the two color variants of the Huawei P40 4G.
