Last week, we’d already taken a good look at the near-official renders of the upcoming Huawei P40 and P40 Pro duo which are said to debut at the end of March next year.
From it’s earlier renders, we’d learned that the Huawei P40 Pro will features a unique “quad-curve” OLED panel that measures approximately 6.5″ or 6.7″ diagonally.
Refresh rate? Umm 90Hz

Today, prominent leaker @RODENT950 has also revealed that the same OLED panel will be able to support up to 90Hz refresh rate. This will put it on par with the OnePlus 7T Pro and Google Pixel 4.
Although it’s still slightly behind the newly announced Redmi K30 which has an impressive screen refresh rate of up to 120Hz, but 90Hz is arguably more than sufficient for a decent visual experience.
After all, overly high refresh rate will also consumes more power. Therefore, there is a need for smartphone maker to strike a good balance between refresh rate and battery life.
Besides coming with an improved screen refresh rate, the Huawei P40 Pro was also recently rumored to come with 10x Optical Zoom support. That will certainly make the P40 Pro one of the most exciting phone for us to look forward next year.
