Huawei P50 Pocket clamshell phone will be launching on Dec. 23 in China. The event will also see the arrival of some other products such as the new MateBooks, Watch D smartwatch, TVs, and so on. Today, a fashion magazine named Harper’s Bazaar released the images of the P50 Pocket to reveal its design in all its glory.
Although the image revealed the device in a Golden colorway, but past teasers of the clamshell device had also confirmed that the company may also release the P50 Pocket in a white or blue edition.
The P50 Pocket is a compact device, which appears like a makeup box when closed. The rear side of the device has a textured design with a camera ring at the top, which appears to be equipped with an LED flash assisted tripled camera unit. The other ring seems like a secondary display, which can be used as a viewfinder for shooting selfies using the rear cameras.
None of the images of the P50 Pocket has revealed its display design. Probably, it could be equipped with a punch-hole display like the Galaxy Z Flip 3 5G. According to a tipster, the rear camera setup of the P50 Pocket includes a 50-megapixel primary camera, a 13-megapixel secondary lens, and an 8-megapixel snapper.
It is likely to carry support for 3x optical zoom. The device is likely to carry support for 66W fast charging. Display analyst Ross Young has revealed that it is equipped with a 6.85-inch foldable screen and a 1-inch cover display. It is speculated that the P50 Pocket will be priced lower than the Galaxy Z Flip 3 5G, which was introduced with a pricing of $999.
