The Chinese tech scene is abuzz with anticipation for a wave of new device launches in the coming months. February is expected to be a particularly busy period, with Oppo, Xiaomi, and Realme all poised to unveil new offerings. Keep an eye out for the Oppo Find N5, Xiaomi 15 Ultra, and Realme Neo 7 SE, all rumored to debut in February. Huawei, too, is expected to unveil the Pocket 3 in March in China.
Huawei Pocket 3 tipped to launch in March

The upcoming Pocket 3 will be a flip-style foldable phone designed to capture the attention of female users. According to tipster Fixed Focus Digital, the company’s Pura 80 series of flagship phones’ arrival has been delayed to May or June this year, whereas the Pocket 3 is still on track for a March release. It appears that it will debut as 2025’s first flip phone.

Huawei CEO Richard Yu (referred to as “Big Mouth” in the above Weibo post) has reportedly hinted at a new phone launch in March, emphasizing its affordability. This phone appears to be the upcoming Pocket 3. Speculations are rife that the company may launch a small-sized tablet alongside the Pocket 3.
Previous leaks suggest that the Pocket 3 will be thinner, lighter, and more compact than its predecessor, the Pocket 2, which launched in China in April 2024. Additionally, it is rumored to come in two versions, though specific details about these variants remain under wraps.
One area where competitors have an edge is the size of the external display. Many flip phones in the market now feature larger cover screens, while the Pocket series has traditionally stuck with a small, round-shaped external display. Fans are hopeful that the Pocket 3 will adopt a larger cover screen to keep up with the competition and enhance usability.
